We need a dedicated, experienced, proven leader to be our Mayor -- especially when our City and residents are facing unprecedented economic and social challenges.

Even during these very difficult days, I’m proud our City remains safe, strong and stable:

RSM is Safe.

Our City is once again ranked by the FBI as the #1 safest City in California.

RSM is Financially Strong.

  • Our City has a balanced budget;

  • Finished last year with a surplus; and

  • We’ve saved over $30 Million in reserves.

RSM Adopted Pension Reform.

Our City was one of California's first to adopt Pension Reform to ensure future solvency and sustainability.

RSM Promotes Transparent Open Government.

We earned the prestigious Government Finance Officers Association Certificate of Achievement in Financial Reporting.

We improved our City website to include:

  • Audit Results for every Mello-Roos district to promote accountability; and

  • Mello-Roos Search Tool to assist every resident.

RSM is Beautiful.

  • We constructed the beautiful RSM monument sign at the Alicia gateway to our City.

  • We installed enhanced street lighting/median improvements across our City.

  • We’re now preparing to install a gorgeous RSM monument sign and enhanced street lighting/median improvements along the Antonio Parkway gateway to our City.

RSM Provides a Special Quality of Life.

  • We constructed a new kid’s Splash Pad in Central Park;

  • Synchronized streetlights to reduce traffic;

  • Sponsored the popular Free Summer Concert Series in Central Park; and

  • Upgraded our animal services contract to join a local “no-kill” shelter.

 I’m proud to have served as your Mayor – and all we’ve accomplished.

Thanks to years of hard work, our City is strong and its future bright.

Upon re-election, my primary goals are to maintain our City’s financial security and protect our City’s award-winning master plan.

I’ll ensure you’re always protected by the finest fully-funded police and firefighting forces.

I’ll continue to support policies promoting:

  • lower taxes;

  • conservative fiscal policies;

  • strong families;

  • vibrant local businesses;

  • reduced traffic; and

  • safe neighborhoods/parks.

I am well qualified to serve, receiving my undergraduate degree from UCLA and J.D. from Loyola Law School.  I’m a licensed attorney -- a partner in one of the largest, most-sophisticated law firms in the nation -- with 30 years of experience.

My wife and I celebrate our 37th Anniversary this year – and for 35 years, as the parents of four children, we've been proud to call Rancho Santa Margarita home.

I respectfully ask for your vote and continued support.
